Information Security Engineer, Corporate IT

Description:Responsibilities: - Deploy and operate an integrated set of security monitoring tools in a growing global enterprise.- Guide development engineers that evaluate, build and implement scalable solutions to ensure secure deployment. - Spread enthusiasm for good security practice and policy to NetApp employees around the world. - Perform vulnerability, controls, and threat assessments to define the risk landscape. - Develop and propose strategies and plans to address identified risks.- Collaborate on IT projects to ensure that security issues are being addressed throughout the project life cycle.- Define security configuration and operational standards for security systems and applications.- Provide oversight and assistance in the resolution of reported security incidents.- Plan, implement, and operate security technologies.- Research and assess new threats and security alerts.- Assist in the development of information security policies, processes, and procedures.- Develop security processes and procedures to support service-level agreements.- Participate in the audit process as required and assist in the resolution of security audit findings.- Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews.- Develop and validate baseline security configurations.- Assist in the development of other security team members through cross-training and the creation of training materials.- Research, evaluate, and recommend new and updated security technologies.- Advise security administrators and other IT personnel on minimum requirements and best practices in information security.Education and Experience:- A minimum of 4 years of experience is required; 8 to 10 years of experience is preferred. - A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree is required or equivalent experience. - Certifications in CISSP, CCSP, CISA, GSEC, CCIE, CCNP, or others are preferred.Qualifications:- Past, hands-on experience with or in-depth knowledge of related hardware and software including server applications, firewall, VPN network security, infrastructure and routing protocols; network monitoring and management principles; SNMP protocols; network connectivity including ISDN, Frame-relay, T-1, DS3, OC3; internetworking protocols; IP addressing, DNS, TCP, UDP, ICMP, OSPF and BGP routing.
