Immediate need for Exchange Systems Engineer
CTG is currently recruiting for a MS Exchange Systems Engineer for a 3 month + project in Delray Beach Fla with our Fortune 20 client. Qualified candidates will be involved in providing engineeringadministration, systems maintenance, and 2nd3rd level support of the customer’s Microsoft Exchange environment and overall Messaging infrastructure as a member of a Global team supporting Exchange 200x, Outlook 200x, Blackberry and CiscoSymantec systems and tools . Primary Responsibilities: • Provide support for the customer’s Exchange infrastructure that supplies continuity within inter-corporate business Service Level Availability (SLA) agreements. • Strong planning, process improvement and quality measurement skills with a focus on delivering operational efficiencies, increasing shareholder value and Corporate financial strength. Provide quotes and architectural expertise for large-scale projects. • Assist in developing guidelines on Email awareness and usage. Within the guidelines, establish Global policiesprocedures and provide a recommendation for a necessary Global service support model regarding ExchangeMessaging.• Produce dailyweeklymonthly reports towards Exchange capacity, performance and availability metrics. • Assist in engineeringdeployment and overall administrative support of production Blackberry Enterprise Server systems. • Assist in engineeringdeployment and overall administrative support of Symantec Mail Security systems complete with Anti-spam and Premium Content Control components. • Assist in overall administrative support of customers Email archiving systems and Exchange database Journaling. • Maintain and update documentation for the ExchangeMessaging environment. Qualified candidates must have the following experience: • Minimum 5+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003 (64bit experience a definite plus), Microsoft Exchange server, Active Directory, Clustering and Networking technologies. • Minimum 2+ years experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server in a large environment. Proven track record in installation and configuration of Blackberry Enterprise Server.• MCP certification required. • Proven track record of accurate troubleshooting skills. Must demonstrate the initiative and provide the ability to analyze all serverOS
etwork related issues to determine the appropriate course of action. Escalate to next level within the proper formatted structure. • Proven track record in areas of confidentiality and security. Ability to earn trust by keeping confidences, being direct and honest. • Ability to set priorities and apply all gained knowledge and new insights to improve processes and results. Must provide evidence of proactive tendencies towards these types of improvements. • In-depth knowledge of Exchange database architecture, log files, and database backup and restore process. Experience with Recovery Storage Groups and the Microsoft Exmerge Utility. Experience with Veritas Netbackup. • Deep knowledge of Exchange Database Maintenance, both online and offline. • Extensive knowledge of Exchange 2003 running on a Windows 2003 Cluster. • Detailed knowledge of Exchange message tracking logs and message internet headers. • Ability to troubleshoot message flow issues. • Experience with Exchange Best Practices Analyzer (Exbpa) • Experience with Symantec Mail Security 8100 and 8300 systems. Knowledge of the Anti-spam and Premium Content Control components on the 8300 platform. • Knowledge of whitelists and blacklists. • Knowledge of Email archiving systems and Exchange database Journaling. • Knowledge of DNS, MX records. • Knowledge of TLS Encryption. • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Subnetting, ports. • Hardware experience with HP Servers including Proliant DL385 and DL585 (blade experience a plus).If interested in pursuing please send your resume to Joan.Cunningham@CTG.com .
