IT USA JOBS: System Administrator - Network

Provide second level diagnostics and troubleshooting support for multi-client networking environments.
Complete the troubleshooting and upgrading of the different platforms.
Script development for automating manual tasks or processes. (Where possible)
Perform system tuning activities where appropriate.
Ensure that all documentation for the systems (build books, network diagrams) is updated after changes.
Make recommendations to improve health of the system where necessary.
Provide on-call support as scheduled (Participate in On-Call rotation schedule).
Coordinate service calls and requests with team members where necessary.
Respond to incident tickets and provide updates in a timely manner. Escalate where necessary.
Coordinate andimplement change records as a result of trouble tickets.
Perform hardware diagnostics and installation of layered products where needed.


REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a team.
Must be able to work effectively with multiple teams, multiple issues at once.
Must thrive in a fast-paced, time compressed and dynamic environment.
Solid skills and discipline for Incident Management practices and processes.
Able to communicate in French and English orally and in writing.
Strong Analytical Skills & use of Analytical Tools.
Work closely with the client and other support teams for troubleshooting of incidents

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Networking environments support and protocols:

WAN, LAN, VPN, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewall, DNS
Networks which include Cisco routers and Catalyst switches connecting via Carrier Layer 3 VPN;
Configuring and troubleshooting problems on Cisco layer 2 and 3 switches on IOS platform;
Troubleshooting OSPF and BGP routing problems or similar routing protocols;
Bridging and Spanning Tree protocol in a Cisco environment;
Cisco Layer 3 VPN/MPLS/MP-BGP network;
Cisco CSM Application Service Module for NAT and Load Balancing;
DWDM network equipment such as CISCO 15454, or similar equipment;
Interacting with Network Carriers for service implementation or problem resolution.
