IT Security Infrastructure Team Lead
Description:The Security Infrastructure Lead will guide and manage a team of security professionals in their daily activities including mentoring, organizing, setting performance expectations and monitoring progress and results. The Lead will work with management on the planning and implementation of the IT Infrastructure and ensure appropriate tools, techniques, and standards are executed according to documented guidance. The lead must have the confidence, integrity and discretion for handling sensitive and confidential information as well as the judgment, tact, and the skills necessary to direct the team with their projects and daily assignments.This individual will interface directly with the Security Infrastructure Team Leader and must be able to communicate and escalate issues as needed, develop interpersonal relationships across teams, and exchange information effectively. The position will require a diverse set of management, technical and security skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and the discipline to follow process in a tightly regulated environment.The team provides security guidance to the business and influence to the design, implementation and management of ING DIRECT infrastructure. Reviews new technologies, defines security configurations, performs vulnerability testing, incident response, troubleshooting, issue resolution, assesses and communicates infrastructure risk and promotes confidentiality, integrity and availability. - Provide technical leadership and solutions to a team of highly capable professionals- Play a key role in the overall recommendation and design of system architectures, platforms and specifications in order to meet current and future business needs for the entire enterprise.- Assist with staff development under the guidance of the Team Leader- Participate in hiring, quarterly review and promotion of technical staff- Communicate planning, development, documentation, and status to management.- Represent security interests on project teams by ensuring security standards and requirements are defined as part of the deliverables.- Work with sensitive, confidential and/or proprietary information while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethics- Identify and resolve complex issues and develop innovative solutions to achieve both business and technology goals while maintaining appropriate security- Assist in the development and implementation of information security polices and procedures- Provide planning and review of system and network designs to ensure compliance with company security policies and security best practices- Evaluate new products and technologies to protect against existing and emerging security threats- Handle other duties as assigned by IT Infrastructure ManagementQualifications:- 7 years of broad work experience including leadership, administration, engineering and security- 3 years of experience in network and system design, access control and implementation- Proven leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management- Effective knowledge of information security theory and practices- Strong sense of professionalism, integrity and ethics- Ability to combine technical skills with an understanding of business needs to successfully protect assets- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiencesEducation and/or Certifications:- A post secondary education is strongly preferred, graduate work a plus- CISSP, SANS GIAC, security, MCSE or equivalent certifications a plusTechnical skills and abilities:- Leading and managing the daily activities of staff to include training, coaching, organizing, establishing performance expectations, monitoring progress and results- Ensuring appropriate involvement of Security Infrastructure resources in the review and implementation of all IT projects- Recommend IT security-specific training standards for the Security Infrastructure team- Tracking and managing security issue remediation efforts identified by security reviews, internal and external auditors or other risk assessments- Ability to manage, motivate and work with personnel at all levels of the organization across multiple physical locations- Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and responsibilities- In-Depth knowledge of network design, firewall configuration, load balancing, remote access, strong authentication, vulnerability scanning, VPN and DMZ management- Understanding of scripting languages and technologies such as shell scripting, Perl, JavaScript, VBScript or others- Technical knowledge and experience with application security, content filtering, network protocols, access control, encryption, and 2 factor authentication technologiesSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: St. Cloud, MinnesotaJob Number: 6304Company URL: http://www.ingdirect.com Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience Location: St. Cloud, MN 56601 Job RefCode: 6304.1072
