Yoh Engineering has an opening for a High Voltage Power Supply Design Engineer in San Jose, CA.  Our customer is a large Hardware company.The day to day duties of this position will include leading the design and development of miniature high-voltage power supply designs for ionic cooling. Candidate will be responsible for defining requirements and specifications based on application needs, design and test the system to meet specifications. The technical qualifications required for this position will include: • 8 years minimum of "hands on" hardware design experience focused on miniature power supply designs • Expert in PCB design using Cadence tools (Concept-HDL, Allegro) • Expert in the use of simulation analysis software such as ADS • Must have taken at least two designs from concept to volume production (preferably in the laptop or hand-held consumer device space) • Must have the ability to make trade off analysis between cost, size and efficiency of power supply designs • Must be a team player and excellent communicator • Strong analytical skills and the ability to innovate, creating disciplined solutions to complex problems. • Experience with ionic cooling technology is a plus. • Experience in the design and tape-out of Analog ASIC’s is a plus. • Experience with technical patents, technical papers and presentations, and membership in technical associations is highly desirable.This position is scheduled for and requires a minimum commitment of 6 months.  All candidates must be available to start within two weeks upon offer.
