High Level Helpdesk Techs (Tier 2 and 3)Description: Are you a motivated, high-level helpdesk / technical support technician? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? This position will be in a Network Operations Center (NOC) and is responsible for monitoring and supporting all nodes within our customer's network (i.e - routers, switches, CSU/DSU, UPS, Windows, Linux and Sun Systems).Other responsibilities include migration, maintenance and administration of the following: Windows NT/2000/2003 Server, MS Exchange 5.5/2000/2003, MS SQL, MS Desktop/Laptop platforms, HP and Dell servers. Candidate will be troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software related problems and providing 2nd and 3rd level response to customer problems. In addition, the candidate will be analyzing, assessing, determining and implementing corrective actions suitable to the environment.About the company:This position is with the COMPUTER SYSTEMS SEGMENT of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. This particular division of Computer Systems provides IT infrastructure services to mission critical, multi-vendor, multi-site applications in the Staffing, Financial, Telecommunications and Research and Development markets. The division's broad spectrum of IT design/implementation, procurement, project management and maintenance services, includes 24/7 managed network operations center and systems support group. Requirements: Must have server administration / troubleshooting experience.Must have networking experience - ability to log on to routers and check logs (hands-on experience with Cisco, Nortel, or other major routers/switches).Must have a minimum of 3 years experience resolving Tier 2 and Tier 3 system problems.AA in Information Technology or in a related field or equivalent certificate from a trade school OR equivalent work experience.Location: Orange, CA Type: CONTRACT Duration: Temp to Hire Pay Rate: DOE Contact: Volt Technical ResourcesVolt Workforce Solutions2411 N.
