As a Help Desk Representative at LINSTAR, you would provide technical support for our customers and serve as an internal resource for LINSTAR Field Engineers who require assistance, call escalation and home office support. Representative will assess and resolve customer issues, maintain customer support database and report on results. Representative must have the initiative to continually update their skills and certifications and stay current with technologies LINSTAR supports.

Qualifications

Outstanding listening and analytical skills. Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical users.

Extensive PC experience working in Windows environments. Expert user of standard software systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications, and database applications such as MS Access and SQL. Understanding and ability to troubleshoot networking and communications issues. Mechanical aptitude and electronics background desirable.

Ability to quickly develop rapport with clients and teammates and maintain strong working relationships.

Independent, enthusiastic problem solver with positive attitude and self confidence.

Must be trusted to handle extremely confidential and sensitive information.

Must have high energy level and thrive under pressure. Ability to effectively handle technical escalations and manage time critical issues. Ability to remain productive, stay organized and maintain a professional demeanor while providing solutions and meeting customer deadlines and goals - even in stressful situations.

College degree preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
