JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Hardware test of electronics device. 

Possesses capability to perform actual testing and not pure delegation/supervision.

Proficient with test equipment related to area of concern.

Help establish detailed test plan for assigned areas of responsibility.

Expectations will be high on need to be self-starting and highly motivated. 

Must possess some, if not many, of the desired skill set. 

Should be able to handle aggressive product schedule and plan accordingly.

Some travel may be required.

 

 

DESIRED SKILL SET

(candidate should possess some, if not many, of the skills below)

 

WiFi pre-compliance testing and certification

experience with WiFi test software such as IxChariot

Bluetooth pre-compliance testing and certification

specify profiles candidate has experience working on

USB 2.0 pre-compliance testing and certification

specify profiles candidate has experience working on

Mobile device RF testing

  - range testing

  - interference susceptibility testing

  - interference source testing

  - experience with testing in anechoic chambers

  - RF certification testing experience a plus

Power supply/Battery Life testing

Recharge testing, understand recharge theory

Automated test case execution

software control of test equipment

programmatic control of hardware modules via test hooks for automated test case execution

For some positions, must understand software and be able to work with software engineers at the appropriate level to achieve automated test case execution goals

Experience with communications protocol analyzers

specify what protocols and what level of proficiency

Experience with general EE test equipment

Experience with RF test equipment

Experience with product development and/or test of mobile devices

Familiarity with Win CE family of OS a plus
