Printer/Desktop Field Service Technician
 
Prism Pointe Technologies a leading provider of global IT managed services is seeking Field Service Technicians to service copiers, Multi - Function printers, wide format printers, desktops and notebooks at customer sites across the nation.

As a Field Service Technician you will install, de-install, maintain, and provide preventative maintenance on mono and color stand-alone and networked printers, multifunction printers/copiers, desktops and notebooks installed at our customers' locations. You will provide a high level of support for our customers by exhibiting a high degree of technical proficiency, excellent technical skills and professionalism. You will serve as the first line subject matter expert answering technical and application questions. Maintain accurate and complete documentation, inventories, parts orders and returns, assigned company assets and other administrative paperwork.  We offer; factory training, excellent starting salary, paid vacation, paid holidays and other benefits.
 
Required: CompTIA A+ Certification (or must obtain within 60 days of employment), must be technically proficient with all aspects of computer HW/SW repair on printers, laptops and desktops. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and office suite with a primary focus on Windows Vista, Office XP, Office 2007. Basic network troubleshooting skills is also a must. Excellent understanding of the customer service business; 3+ year’s previous hands-on deskside support experience; Experience replacing printer/desktops/laptops components.

Desired: AS degree in Electronics or Computer Science.  Experience with Lexmark products a plus, OEM certifications desirable (Lexmark, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Gateway, MPC, Xerox, Canon, Toshiba, Apple).

Responsibilities include: Install and implement connectivity and high-end systems products. Participate in the configuration and support of internal systems. Perform repair and parts replacement on desktops/laptops/tablets, printers and some servers.  Order parts, close tickets within help desk call dispatching program(s), maintain accurate reporting.  Monitor and document daily service activity. Demonstrate excellent customer service and customer interaction (via phone, e-mail and face to face). In this position, you will manage continuous improvement of service delivery, your schedule (demonstrate excellent time management) and your interaction with multiple customers. You will need to attain working knowledge of both routers and switches in local area networks and wide area networks. You should have a positive, constructive attitude and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. You must be proficient with Microsoft applications, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Server 2003.

Will be required to complete helpdesk training course and 3 major OEM platform certifications (Lexmark, Dell, HP) within 45 days of hiring.
