Job Description:

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Field Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting

Axis’ Regional Sales Managers for pre and post sales opportunities. This support includes: basic system design, technical presentations, on-site troubleshooting, surveys, training, coordination of on-site proof of concept and trial installations, etc.

 

Due to the nature of some of our proof-of-concept projects and/or large customer relationships and engagements, this job requires the ability to travel 50% or more; sometimes on short notice and sometimes may extend outside normal working hours (including weekends and evenings.)

 

Position Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a pre-sales/post-sales SE ideally in networking and/or video related systems

• Proven reputation of positive customer interaction

• Solid Network (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPN’s, etc.) experience

• Mature, professional verbal and listening skills

• Strong presentation skills

• Strong technical writing skills (white paper, manuals, instructions, etc.)

• Design documentation skills (schematics, flow charts, topologies, metrics, etc.)

• Willing and able to travel 50% of the time

 

Education:

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or

Information Systems is desired
