Field Applications Engineer

Field Application Engineer, Semiconductors Sales Territory: West - North America Location: San Jose, California Description: Responsible for pre and post technical support to close and maintain design wins for company products and account development for North America western customers Responsibilities:   Contribute to sale strategies and account development while providing technical support for all design win opportunities in territory Effective at creating and presenting customer presentations and training which is relevant for each customer Have the ability to contribute to a customers design activities as part of training and/or consulting services Ability to qualify and comprehend customer’s key computational algorithms and performance bottlenecks. Then create and present meaningful benchmarks to evaluate size and performance Support other activities related to demand creation including customer and sales training. Periodically write application notes, journal articles, hardware/software porting guides, or competitive analyses. Contribute with direct and independent sales representatives in account development or maintenance. Qualification Requirements:   BSEE or equivalent technical degree, MSEE preferred A minimum of 10 years as a semiconductor FAE Practical design experience as a hardware or software engineer for a minimum of three years. Recent experience supporting customers in the sales territory with successful track record and current customer relationships Comprehensive design experience, understanding, and technical knowledge in one or more of these semiconductor technologies, including proficiency in using the programming development tools: DSPs, FPGAs, high performance embedded processors/microcontroller. Strong programming skills in embedded systems. C, C++, Java, Assembly, and DSP experience. Parallel processing background and experience Demonstrated success with complex sales and strategic selling Must be an effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization.
