6. Mentor Graphics board design tools (DXDesigner, interface to Expedition)
7. Experience with high-speed signal integrity issues
8. Ability to use scription languages (e.g. perl) to control development tools
9. Hardware EE background
10. Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers

Assignment:
FPGA development, using VHDL, for a Laser Radar focal plane array. Will use latest Xilinx and Altera FPGAs for implementing next-generation Laser Radar focal planes. High speed design, serial communications, signal integrity will be important factors in achieving success. Will be responsible for design & VHDL coding, testbench development, synthesis, place & route, and bench testing. Will also participate in board design, using Mentor tool. Must be well versed in use of oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers.

Experience with Modelsim, Synplify Pro, Xilinx XST Experience (several projects) with Xilinx Virtex 2 Pro, Virtex 4, Virtex 5, Altera Stratos Experience with PCI, PCI Express, Xilinx Rocket IO / MGT Experience with Mentor Graphics' board design tools (DxDesigner, interafece to Expedition) Experience with high-speed signal integrity issues Ability to use scripting languages (e.g. Perl) to control development tools Hardware (EE) background
