Exchange Server Administrator

Title: Exchange Server Administrator
Location:  Lakewood, CO

Responsibilities:
This position is a technical hands-on role in support of the Enterprise Mail platform, primarily Microsoft Exchange 2007.
• Apply solid problem-solving techniques consistent with an advanced knowledge of technical and operational issues involving Microsoft Exchange 2007 and older versions.
• Work closely with other systems architects and project managers to implement system enhancements and upgrades.
• Produce technical documentation and seek and incorporate feedback where appropriate.
• Collaborate with client, server and other internal/external teams to identify support and technology advancements.
• Provide clear, concise, and customized documentation that is appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage all aspects of Exchange backup infrastructure utilizing including full and mailbox restores, while interacting with appropriate customers in a professional manner.

Requirements:

Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Microsoft MCSE 2003

Experience:
• 5 of managing Exchange 2000/2003 in an environment of over 5,000 users.
• Extensive background in Windows 2003, Active Directory and Exchange 2003 with experience in the deployment and support in large and complex production environments.

Technical/Functional Knowledge:
• Knowledge of New Exchange Server 2007 features
• Knowledge of Exchange Server 2007 deployment architecture
• Knowledge of Exchange Server 2007 Server Roles
• Knowledge and Skills in Administering Exchange Server 2007 Mailbox Servers
• Knowledge and Skills in Managing Recipients in Exchange Server 2007
• Knowledge and Skills in Implementing, Maintaining, and Operating Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA)
• Knowledge and Skills in Configuring Message Routing for a Branch Office
• Knowledge and Skills in Troubleshooting Message Routing Between Sites
• Advance knowledge of file system management, access control and directory organization
• Proven writing/communication skills
• Proven organizational skills
• Extensive troubleshooting experience
• Must be comfortable working with many different groups, inside and outside of IS, to help solve business problems

Additional Requirements:
• Available to participate in 24x7 support, off hours and occasional weekend work required
