Position Summary
F5 is hiring a New Product Introduction ENE for our “Control Point” product, which is a plug-in that's used to manage F5 devices on Microsoft’s System Center Operations Manager . Our Enterprise Network Engineering department is the final point of escalation for all pre-sales and post-sales technical issues. ENE’s are product experts, with in-depth networking knowledge, including client O/S integration expertise on multiple platforms, and web application programming know-how

Responsibilities Work with Product Marketing and Product Development through all phases of our new product design and release phases providing: Service Requirements (Serviceability, Diagnosibility, Usability) Input for the product management team. Define Beta Test Criteria (This includes but is not limited to creating Use Cases for Beta Customers and soliciting input from Professional Services stakeholders) Manage both the internal and external beta programs. Development and Delivery of training material needed to ensure Support Center Readiness at the time of Product Launch Assist our Worldwide Front Line Support Team, Sales and Field Engineers over the phone and via email in resolving complex product, operational or integration issues, providing top-tier support for all F5 internal organizations. Managing CERT and security release alerts to customer install base Direct interaction with Product Development on behalf of all external organizations and customers
QualificationsSuccessful applicants will have in-depth server and network management experience, focusing on Microsoft Windows server products. Exceptional and demonstrable troubleshooting skills, including multiple platform and packet-level experience Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 Generalized Network Management System experience (HP OpenView, Nagios, OpenNMS, etc.). SNMP and agents Windows Server 2003 Administration, installation, and maintenance Knowledge and experience with usability and interface design Working knowledge of formal software development practices and use case design Comfortable working with large customers to help define product requirements and feedback Windows PowerShell scripting Active Directory Domain administration OSI Layer 2-7 Network Traffic analysis HTML + XML Expert-level knowledge of network devices Good knowledge of server-based SSL and DNS Experience with Active Directory
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
