You will be responsible for designing and developing embedded software using C, C++ and assembly to run on a variety of hardware platforms. Additional responsibilities will include developing systems requirements, contributing to the system architecture, and understanding technologies involved in developing solutions. Most of your time will be spent working complex problems individually or in small teams. SPARTA's Applied Communications Technology Operation (ACTO) is a high-tech company located in Centreville, Virginia. We specialize in developing cutting edge hardware and software for the Intelligence and Law Enforcement communities. Our expertise ranges from digital hardware design to embedded, real-time and application program development.Experience RequirementsWe require a BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related fields and at least 2 years of professional experience using C, C++ or assembly language to develop embedded software. Experience with a commercial real-time OS such as VxWorks is highly desirable. Knowledge of simulators, emulators and logic analyzers is a strong plus. Good communication skills are a must and you should have a proven track record of successfully developing embedded software. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: For these positions you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates with active Top Secret security clearances are encouraged to apply. U.S. citizenship required
