TechTurn is looking for an Ecommerce/Online Developer!

 

SUMMARY

The Ecommerce/Online Developer is responsible for TechTurn’s online presence and web interface including but not limited to TechTurn’s home page and general content about the company and its services; TechTurn’s e-commerce activities (direct online store, multiple private stores, auction presence, interfacing with other e-commerce sites); TechTurn’s online social presence (blog site, MySpace, etc.).  They work with VP Sales, marketing and management to create and/or manage the creation of new content and web functionality and monitors and reports traffic and revenues to/from the site. Site functionality improvements and/or redesign recommendations are required as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with TechTurn’s online site framework to develop a highly scalable web platform which interfaces with several existing TechTurn systems including ERP and CRM systems. Helps Coordinate and/or complete posting new product information to online sites to include the management of product descriptions, photographs, prices, SKU’s, quantities, etc. Posts and ensures that store policies, terms and conditions, and other supporting information are accurately presented online. Ensure that all product information (descriptions, photographs, prices, quantities, etc.) are accurately represented on online sites.  Ensure TechTurn is compliant with online privacy laws, collection of sales tax and export regulations. Ensure that all branding and identity materials on the online website and corporate website are in compliance with approved guidelines Creates new Employee Purchase Program online stores and private stores / marketplaces Updates the navigation and content of online store fronts and the corporate website where needed and/or project manager outsourced efforts where applicable. Develops a social presence for TechTurn Recommends new approaches to maximize web presence utilizing latest and greatest web tools, utilizes and approaches. Develop and maintain a list of online registered users Develop and manage e-mail campaigns to online registered users Report weekly on site, store and auction activity including: Orders, revenue, ASP, freight & site comparisons (auction vs. stores) Traffic, shopping cart abandonment SEO / SEM effectiveness Develop new dynamic e-mail campaigns to current and potential customers and current and potential clients

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong understanding of or be an industry expert in the following: Database architecture Database technologies HTML Macromedia Flash Social networking technologies Microsoft technologies Three years direct experience with e-Commerce/Online sales either via direct or auction venues. Both are preferred. HTML programming experience, website design, content management systems, shopping carts, web traffic measurement tools, and related applications required. Proven attention to detail; able to accurately manage very large amounts of detailed information. Demonstrated analytical skills. Excellent written communications required. Proven ability to work cross-functionally to drive required changes to completion Advanced knowledge of computers and other electronics equipment preferable Proven ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities Ability to work as part of a dynamic team in a fast moving, rapidly changing, high growth environment BBA or other relevant bachelors degree
