Divisional CFO - $2B organization ($150k - $200k base plus bonus) - Salt Lake City

Reporting to the Division President, the Division Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the division. This leader will enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operations and effectiveness of the division. This finance leader will work closely with the Division President, business leaders and the other members of the division management team to ensure that the company is positioned well for growth.

 

The division CFO will evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs and strategies. He/She will develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the division president and other senior finance leaders in performing their responsibilities.

 

The division CFO will provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline. He/She will provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers and investments. This person will develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

 

The selected candidate will be an accomplished finance leader with a high amount of energy and enthusiasm for their professional career. It is important that the division CFO is well versed in finance services organizations and understands the nuances that go with services companies someone who understands project accounting and the peculiarities of a cash business is essential. He/She will have brought best practices from large company finance functions and successfully integrated them into a smaller environment. The successful candidate will have a track record of creating and/or fine tuning the infrastructure for a company preparing to go through a period of growth and will likely have gone through a “scaling” event with another company.

 

This finance leader will have a track record of hiring and retaining strong financial finance leaders. The successful candidate will be “technically astute” and capable of using and understanding the financial applications available to him/her. The selected candidate will be a member of the division management team and instrumental in helping the company grow and scale.

 

An undergraduate finance degree is required and an advanced degree is desired.

 

The selected candidate will be an experienced leader and finance leader from a leading services company who possesses the following attributes:

• Financial partner to the division president with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus

• Well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player

• Intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills

• Excellent negotiator who is experienced in sales, vendor and partner contracts, recurring revenue streams and financial structuring of a company

• Exposure to basic warehouse, inventory, sourcing and purchasing processes as well as multi-site fixed assets

• Decisive individual who possesses a “big picture” perspective and is well versed in systems.

• Must be a “proactive” individual versus “reactive” and not shy away from constructive dialog with the Senior Management Team.

• Comfortable making financial and operating presentations to senior management and Internal Finance leaders.

• Must be able to travel 20-30%.

• Must be willing to relocate to Salt Lake City.
