District Sales Manager – Phoenix, AZ # 8073 Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the District Sales Manager will provide leadership and direction to the sales team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a tremendous career opportunity in the high growth, Western Region for an experienced Sales Manager to create and execute business plans; build and coach the sales team; and develop strong relationships with key Electrical and Data-Comm distributor management. Identification of new vertical market and revenue growth opportunities.· Management of district sales team (coaching, staff development, hiring and selection, performance management, etc.)· Establishment of strong relationships with customers and leverage of key strategic alliances and partnerships.· Oversee project tracking and ensure success at large bid opportunities.· Assist sales representatives in handling promotions and customer issues. Requirements:· BA/BS degree in business, technical or marketing. MBA is a plus.· 7+ years of outside sales experience, preferably within the electrical or data industries.· 3+ years of management experience with the demonstrated ability to motivate and supervise a sales team.· Experience with structured cabling, physical layer hardware, LAN/WAN systems, VOIP, data network cabling, low voltage copper, fiber optics, Cat 5e, Cat 6, 10G, electrical, or components, highly desired.· Ability to translate company vision and strategy into action items that drive sales.· Strong leadership and decision-making ability with demonstrated success in building effective teams and meeting regional sales goals.· Relationship management experience to include calling on multiple types of customers at all levels (end users, consultants, system integrators, contractors, etc.)· Experience using CRM for sales tracking and reporting.· Excellent communication and presentation ability required.
