Due to strong and growing demand for our products and services, we have an opening for a Director of Sales & Marketing.  This resource will work with directly for the CEO and be responsible for strategic leadership, direction, and management of company sales and marketing functions. Responsible for the development of annual sales and marketing plans, and the establishment of overall sales and marketing objectives. Staffs and directs the sales and marketing teams, providing leadership and direction to enable us to achieve its sales and profit objectives. This position has 7 direct reports and 2 indirect reports.

Company Sales Volume:  ~$5M (up 66% YOY)

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated sales and marketing plan in support of tactical and strategic objectives.

· Develop and manage the sales selling cycle and methodology, including sales goals, budgets, and forecasts in support of business plans.

· Conduct marketing research designed to identify and differentiate existing and potential market segment opportunities.

· Initiate and develop strategic sales and marketing plans enabling us to penetrate new markets and to maximize existing opportunities.

· Develop a targeted message conveying our value proposition to both overall and individual market segments.

· Develop, implement and coordinate media advertising plans, direct mail campaigns, lead generation programs, and internet initiatives.

· Actively monitor sales and marketing results, budgets, and revenue and expense forecasts to insure attainment of goals on time and on budget.

· Implement a sales and marketing management process that brings discipline and accountability to sales and marketing, performance and client service.

· Responsible for the overall training and development of the sales and marketing organization.

· Conduct regular feedback and development sessions to motivate and develop the sales and marketing team.

· Utilize internal CRM and tracking databases to review sales and marketing performance and activities.

· Directly manage major and critical customer accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts.

· Identify and participate in major industry and partner events and conferences in support of our strategic and annual business plans.

· Act as a liaison between Business Units to insure the timely gathering and exchange of information and market intelligence.

· Responsible for Identifying cross marketing and sales opportunities both inside and outside of the organization.

· Develop and maintain positive relationships with partners, vendors and distributors.

· Manage the activities of outside vendors contracted to perform sales and sales support and marketing functions.

· Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with contacts, individual Units, and all company employees.

· Adheres to all policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

· Pursuing enterprise accounts for larger engagements, especially for the Management Consulting practice.  Pursuing strategic channel partner relationships.

 

Desired Competencies, Certifications and Experiences:

 

· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.

· Minimum of 5-10 years exp. in a senior sales management position in a Technology company, preferably in IT Services.  Experience in IT Sales is a REQUIREMENT.

·  Experience within the IT consulting industry is preferred.

· The ideal candidate will have measured success in taking a business from expansion-stage to high growth stage.

· Experience in working in both structured corporate settings and entrepreneurial environments.

· The ideal candidate will have a history of organizational development, having hired and retained top-quality talent on their team.

· Self starter with demonstrated effectiveness in a multi-tasking & fast-paced environment.

· Strong sense of self-confidence and unquestioned integrity.

· A good mentor, coach and listener.

· The ideal candidate will have a broad network of industry and customer contacts/relationships.

· Strong leadership, teambuilding, and collaboration skills.

· Charismatic leader and effective motivator, with a high degree of energy.

· Excellent presentation, oral & written communication skills.

· Ability to influence and persuade others who do not report directly.

· Proven track record of setting and achieving objectives

· PC literate with experience in Microsoft Office Suite

· Require travel (ouside of Tampa and out of state) is approximately 10% of the time.  Most trips do not require overnight stays.
