Campus Support Center (Corporate Headquarters) - Santa Ana, CA Req#: 08-1028 JOB OVERVIEW Director, Information Technology for Systems Engineering team Team of seven (7) based in Santa Ana & Canada (Toronto) Oversight of Canadian Operations Approximately 10% travel Responsible for all activities relating to planning, monitoring and maintaining data center operations and system engineering. Oversees projects and changes to data center systems and various Microsoft systems, as well as availability of all pertinent applications. Responsible for the management of all systems engineering and operations staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIMARY DUTIES Systems Management Primary Duties: Identifies, plans and develops the IT infrastructure required to support strategic business and IT initiatives Responsible for common applications systems analysis, programming methodologies and approaches in order to direct the planning, evaluation, design, development, acquisition, testing and deployment of computer programs or software package implementations (Canada specific) Maintains operational oversight to ensure applications, operations, services exceed stated Service Level Agreements and consistently meet operational needs of business units Responsible for all activities relating to computer operations in the client/server environment Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of all servers in the enterprise infrastructure Responsible for the following enterprise systems and Operations: ERP System Via Affiliated Computer Systems (ACS) in Dallas - Sourced Hosting Management Data Center Operations MS Exchange Content Filtering o CCi Domain (Active Directory) DNS/DHCP Altiris Storage Area Networks (SAN) Anti Virus Responsible for all system engineering and operations deliverables and the reporting of these deliverables including explanation of any responsibility not met. IT Processes Primary Duties: Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, problems, trends, and design, development and modification of new software applications for consideration by other members of management team Performs evaluation of new software tools, office automation products and production applications, as well as participation in the recommendation process Acts as the software manager to ensure compliance with software policy and any applicable copyright laws Works in concert with Networking team to minimize risks of security and disaster to the network Project Management Primary Duties: Assumes responsibility over project schedules and timelines Responsible for reviewing external or business user needs and provides for those needs in a timely manner Leadership Primary Duties: Provides hands-on overall leadership and support to the Systems Engineering and Operations teams in both the US and Canada Provides effective leadership to the organization in response to a rapidly changing technology environment Develops objectives, reviews and evaluates work of staff and prepares performance reports Champions own development and capabilities through personal growth strategies and plans Administration Primary Duties: Assists in the strategic planning process in support of company and department initiatives Responsible for developing, preparing and adhering to IT and Campus budget Troubleshoots problems in a reasonable time frame Requirements: Minimum 7 years related experience B.A, or B.S. degree in Business Admin., Computer Science or Information technology. Ability to work with business partners to determine need and develop appropriate technical solutions/responses to solve business problems. Ability to prepare work schedules and expedite workflow, and confer with and advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods. Ability to write reports and general business correspondence, effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups of managers and personnel, and consult with management in order to coordinate activities with personnel in other information systems sections, prepare progress reports and inform management of current status of each project.
