Job Description The Director, Compensation is responsible for the design and implementation of all aspects of the company’s compensation philosophy and approach. The Director will be responsible for strategic programs designed to attract, motivate and retain our worldwide workforce. Will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership in all areas of compensation, including base pay structures, sales compensation, and both short term and long term incentive/recognition processes. The person will serve as the company’s global compensation expert and interface on related compensation issues. In addition to strategic leadership, will provide functional support for ensuring our compensation programs are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. Job responsibilities include:• Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of the company’s global compensation programs by ensuring an effective overall total compensation and rewards strategy and program execution.• Evaluate, design, and recommend compensation programs based on market assessment and business strategy both domestically and internationally.• Manage core compensation policies and processes, including base pay administration, sales compensation, incentive/recognition/bonus programs, executive compensation and the annual focal merit process.• Lead the effort on ensuring programs are market competitive, evaluating trends and overseeing processes and tools for gathering salary and market data.• Effectively work with HR business partners and organizational leaders to develop and deliver innovative compensation and equity policies and programs. • Serve as an internal consultant to guide, train, and make recommendations to HR and organizational business partners in support of overall business initiatives. • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed. • Develop and maintain analytical and reporting methods for monitoring market trends and organizational performance.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 10 ? 15+ years experience designing, implementing, and managing global compensation programs in a dynamic and growing organization, preferably in a technology based company. • Strong leadership and people management skills, interpersonal skills and demonstrated project management capabilities that can meet aggressive deadlines.• Demonstrated ability to drive change. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast pace environment.• Knowledge of and successful experience in working with disparate and incomplete compensation information sources to create integrated pay for performance and total rewards systems where strong peer company comparator information may not be available. • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to interact well with internal and external customers and at all levels within the organization. • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access; HR ERP systems knowledge/experience is a plus.• CCP certification preferred.BenefitsFirst American offers an empowered work environment that encourages creativity, initiative and professional growth.
