Position: Desktop Support TechnicianLocation: Portland, MaineShift: 8am-5pm, Mon-FriRate: $15-25/hourMinimal overtime required. The clients will work around your availability.

Description:

Major financial institution is looking for a desktop tech with SOLID 3-5 yrs. of experience supporting users in a corporate environment. This is a standalone site with about 200 users, the applicant will be the sole technician on location. The technician will be working closely with the business client on site but will report to supervisors who work out of state. The technician will be required to be the eyes/ears for our Network Operations team, but particular networkexperience is not needed. The technician will have to know what a network closet looks like incase of escalations.

Requirements: 3-5 years of solid desktop support experience in a corporate environment preferably AMAZING customer service and communication skills as the candidate will be the only technician on site supporting to the clients & many high level executives Exp. with LotusNotes PC building exp. Desktop Break fix exp. Printer break fix exp. Knowledge of Electronic software distribution concepts

Desired: A+ certification (or ability to obtain within 45 days) MCP or MSCE certification Bachelors degree in related field Blackberry sync exp.
