Job Description –

· The data architect will provide architectural leadership in developing enterprise data/process models and standards,logical/physical database designs, and cross system/database modeling and data transformations.

· The data architect will participate in large enterprise initiatives providing data infrastructure, data modeling and data architect support to business analysts, developers and users of data. 

· He/She will be responsible for constructing and maintaining enterprise and application data models and relationships between systems, based upon custom built data models and models from industry packages such as Eagle Pace and others. 

· He/She will also be responsible for drafting architectural data standards, data mapping and transformation standards, and guidelines and policies.

· Provide leadership in terms of analyzing and defining conceptual data models, data transformations and cross-system data mapping; develop and maintain data consolidation, de-duplication and merging rules and models.

· Strong, current technical skills, conceptual and analytical skills.

· Must have basic project management skills with a preferred background in Software Development Life Cycles.

· Demonstrated ability to understand and document business processes and an ability to translate business needs into data requirements needs.

· Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete a task.

· Ability to effectively present information (both verbal and written) and respond to questions from peers.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of factors in situations where only limited standardization exists.

· Ability to provide one-on-one instruction and mentoring to junior team members.

· Organizationally effective in working with technical development and business teams.

 

Minimum Requirements –

CA Erwin or any other data modeling tool, Oracle 10g,AIX 5.3,Informatica, Eagle pace experience preferred
