Developer (DB)

Location:  Northern NJ

 

Design and develop leading edge C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server applications and implementing and testing them; develop applications that meet coding standards working independently as well as functioning effectively in a team; and translate customer needs into system requirements and propose systems designs and technologies and tools required to implement new or revised systems. Design or oversee the design of system specifications and assure customer satisfaction with system functionality; and manage or participate in projects to design; to evaluate, select, acquire, and/or construct; and to adapt, test and implement new systems.

 

The responsibilities and duties of this position include:

Design MS.Net technology solutions and modules and routines with little supervision

Design smaller and less sophisticated applications with moderate supervision

Implement data and process models

Evaluate technology components

Work with customers to determine how they will use the system

Develop prototype by specifying use of packages; incorporation of sharable components; interfaces with other systems; changes to legacy systems; and new development components

Prepare, test and issue system releases

Write code in their core software product suites with moderate supervision

Install, set up, and configure databases, programs, and other components

Create interfaces to other systems, including changes to legacy systems

Prepare and test system releases

Develop documentation

Test release and conduct acceptance reviews with customer

Plan delivery of technology solutions

Develop and implement test and deployment plans

Establish delivery environment, including review of business needs and customer expectations

Participate in rollout and fix introduction problems

Monitor impact of system releases

 

A minimum 2-6+ years in software development utilizing various Microsoft technologies including C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, XML, XSLT, SQL Server 2000/2005, and various others is required. Strong skills in C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net technologies are required. Candidates must be proficient in Visual Basic 6.0, ASP 3.0, Microsoft COM+/DCOM, Microsoft IIS 5.0, MS SQL server 2000/2005, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, 3rd Party Controls and Windows 2000/2003. Technical expertise in trouble shooting, debugging, analysis, evaluation, design, and development, testing, configuring, tuning, and optimizing is required. Knowledge of current, target, and legacy Microsoft infrastructures and standards; knowledge of current and legacy Microsoft applications and interest in new technology and innovation exploration is required. Candidates must be self directed.
