DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN:



About the Job:

Great work environment, where people enjoy coming to work and are recognized and appreciated.  This position reports to our Systems Development Manager in the IT Department.  The successful candidate is expected to answer helpdesk requests from end-users at our facilities in Woodland Hills, California, escalating issues to other IT members as necessary in order to avoid any downtime. Perform other duties as required.

Desktops are Windows XP Pro under a Microsoft Active Directory environment.

Job Duties:Respond to end-user helpdesk requests and calls;Resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner;Communicate directly to end-users;Maintenance of printers, other peripherals and phones;Telephone System Management;Troubleshoot file & print, networking and application issues for end-users;Creation and maintenance of disk images for rapid deployment of systems. 


"Must Have" Qualifications/Experience:Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2;Basic MS Word and Excel 2003;MS Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express email client configuration;Printer setup and support;Anti-Spam / Anti-Virus technologies;Disk imaging technologies;Detail-oriented and capable of seeing big picture;Able to work productively with and without supervision;Ability to communicate effectively;Able to multi-task, handling multiple projects simultaneously;Quickly learn new skills and understand new concepts;Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP) is a plus;Experience with Unix is a plus.
