Consultant Knowledge Engineer
located in our San Mateo, CA facility or telecommuting. The RSA R&D team in San Mateo is the centerpiece of the Security Division of EMC developing unique visionary market changing security innovations for the fastest growing segment in security: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and Content Analysis in “Data in Motion”, “Data at Rest” and “Data in Use” states. Responsibilities:· Lead a team that is responsible for the design and development of the Data Loss Protection Policy Library product· Take ownership of major features and components of the Data Loss Protection Policy Library· Architect, develop, and implement major features and components from requirements· Work closely with product management, content analysis engineers, user experience architects, and QA to deliver industry-leading content protection solutions· Investigate new content analysis technologies· Perform design reviews of policies· Mentor new engineers as they come on board Required Skills: 10-12 years categorization development experience for taxonomy, search, or security compliance projects utilizing automated categorization tools. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills SQL experience or other query language experience Must be familiar with regular expression construction Creative problem solving skills and a strong work ethic Self-directed learner driven to build the best customer experience possible NO RELOCATIONDesired Skills: Prior experience in enterprise security Education: MS in Library Science/Information Science or equivalent experience EMC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
