Computer Technician - Technical Support

Aberdeen LLC is a manufacturer of computer systems, computer servers and computer storage servers. We are looking for a Technical Support Technician for the support of our products in a fast paced environment. Hands on training for Aberdeen specific products will be provided.

 

DUTIES:

 

Responsible for customer telephone support of Aberdeen servers and systems. The nature of these calls range from hardware failure diagnosis to the reloading of an operating system to the integration of the Aberdeen equipment into an enterprise.

 

Test and repair equipment sent back to Aberdeen under a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) event.

 

Participate in the test, validation and benchmarking of new Aberdeen products.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

A strong background in the technical aspects of computer systems and servers.

 

A knowledge of storage servers, NAS, SAN, iSCSI and RAID applications in general.

 

A working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems to include Windows XP and Windows Server.

 

A working knowledge of Linux is a strong plus.

 

Must be available for periodic overtime as reasonably requested to meet customer requirements. This may include weekday evening and weekend hours.

 

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
