Business Solutions Analyst / Architect

Opportunity Description: Suggest comprehensive technical solutions to business problems and achieve business "buy in"  Provide architectural vision at project startup and key decision points  Model impacted Enterprise Architecture including business and system concerns  Resolve architectural issues with technical, business, and management team  Provide architectural oversight of projects by checking for adherence to agreed project scope, local best practices, and industry best practices / principles for design and architecture Identify, document, and present Architectural decision points and solution options to upper management  Develop "Candidate Architecture" of overall solution provided by a project, and a roadmap of solution as it will evolve over time  Lead Quality Review of project design deliverables  Validate System requirements and detailed designs produced by delivery teams against approved Candidate Architecture and other project scope definitions Occasionally facilitate integrated design sessions with business and technical stakeholders Coordinate formal and informal training sessions for tools and techniques for which the architect has already mastered Create the User Interface Design, Use Case definition, UML Modeling, Supplementary Specification, and Traceability MatrixRequired Skills/Abilities: Extensive knowledge of RUP process framework, best practices, and key artifacts.  Should be tool aware (Rational tools a plus) Hands-on modeling experience with UML Modeling Design patterns and ALL diagram types  - i.e. Class, Collaboration, Use Case, Activity, Deployment Familiar with multiple platforms: J2EE, Mainframe, SOA Familiarity with common architectural patterns and best practices Thorough understanding of OOAD 2 -3 years Project Management Experience (PMP Preferred) Thorough understanding of Business Modeling (variety of techniques are a plus) Leadership experience in driving technical effort across the various teams, and to make critical decisions under pressure and make those decisions stick Communication skills that earn trust, motivate, persuade, and mentor Proactive and goal-oriented with a relentless focus on results Ability to manage competing priorities and work on multiple projects concurrently Excellent communication skills and positive attitude Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering (Master's degree preferred)CIBER, Inc.
