We are seeking a seasoned and successful Management Consultant for our growing Management and Strategy Consulting practice area. The M&S Practice is a center of excellence in IT strategy, service delivery and infrastructure. This team of seasoned Management and Business Strategy Consultants deliver solutions including design, sourcing, service management, and business continuity/ disaster recovery planning. This practice focuses on helping corporations transform their IT organizations to be more closely aligned with the business strategy, allowing them to rapidly respond to changing business needs.



General Details: Several positions available in NY City and Chicago.Approximately 50% domestic travel will be required.Both 1099 and full-time employee positions are available.We offer full benefits, a competitive salary, paid training, and progressive bonuses based on profitability.



Essential Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Decision Sciences, or an IT related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.Between 4 to 6 years of total work experience managing complex projects or programs preferably within a Strategic IT Professional Services Firm or ‘Big 4’ Management Consulting environment.Client facing IT project delivery and business analysis experience including: IT strategy, outsourcing or IT performance optimization.Experience managing business-critical IT implementation projects related to development or infrastructure, demonstrated ability to work as an external consultant to drive change in client organizations.Experience managing small teams (between 2 and 10 staff), with direct project leadership, as well as experience working within project teams as a specialist resource.Demonstrated success in a trusted advisor role establishing credible working relationships and providing counsel and solution options to senior client sponsors and stakeholders.















Responsibilities: Provide executive level consulting and IT project management to clients regarding process review and design, needs and risk assessment, and global, enterprise architecture strategies.Understand the business/strategic architecture considerations related to information technology projects within large, global infrastructures and Fortune 500 Companies.Set strategy & identify the opportunity in Management and Strategy engagements. Work with senior executive level clients, vendors, and operations staff to ensure solutions fit within global architecture and integrate the design with the client's future IT direction.Understand client’s business requirements, formulate solutions, develop business case justifications, provide cost/benefit analysis, and communicate ideas clearly.Actively participate in business development by partnering with the sales team, adding value to key client interactions, translating business requirements, and guiding the development of viable solutions.



General Skills and Experience:Background should include a mix of industry and consulting experience, working technical knowledge, and a strategic understanding of current and future technology requirements.Excellent conceptualization, articulation/presentation, and facilitation skills are essential.Highly developed and refined consultative skills.Possess a strong client focus, and well practiced and proven counseling techniques.Able to successfully manage client expectations for the duration of the project.Understanding of the full development lifecycle and all aspects of IT delivery: requirements, design, development, and testing. Ability to deliver strategic, enterprise level needs assessments leveraging well-honed business analysis skills and a finely tuned needs and risk assessment methodology. Deep operational knowledge of structured project management methodologies, tools and techniques The flexibility to work independently or as part of a team.Prior experience partnering with sales teams to quantify operational, financial, and business advantages of the proposed solution for the customer. Ability to deepen and grow client relationships resulting in follow on sales.Energy, Life Sciences (Health Care or Pharmaceutical), or Financial Services sector experience a plus. ITIL, PMI, CISSP, CBCP, or MBCP related certifications are a plus
