Lead and manage 10+ electrical engineers and technicians that develop and support the electronics for Insitu Group's unmanned systems. The Avionics Group is a multi-disciplined team that includes digital, mixed signal and power systems engineers that perform design, prototyping, system qualification, and transition to production for aircraft and ground systems electronics. Digital engineers focus on microprocessor systems design, high speed digital circuit design, FPGA/PLD (Verilog/VHDL) design, signal integrity and embedded system boot code and drivers. The mixed signal engineers focus on analog and low noise circuit design, microprocessor systems design, mixed-signal system partitioning, signal conditioning and signal integrity. Power systems engineers focus on three phase power conversion, supply efficiency, supply stability, mode switching, and system reliability. Lead the team to develop performance testing metrics; and periodic hardware reviews for continuous product improvement.
