Associate Product Manager, Consumer Marketing

Qualifications

* Strong written and verbal communication skills:

- Proficient with MS Excel, Power Point and Word

- Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams
* Product Management / Marketing Strategy skills:
- Basic understanding of Computer and Monitor technical terminology.

- Market research and consumer segmentation.
- Marketing communications
* Consumer electronics and/or high tech industry experience (preferred)

* Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

* Aptitude for identifying and communicating customer needs
* Ability to work and succeed under limited supervision and guidance
* Effective time management - ability to understand and manage several priorities at the same time with tight deadlines
* Effective internal communications - ability to communicate with all parts of the company adapting to different personalities and situations
* Education: BS/BA degree in marketing or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years related work experience; MBA preferred, not required.





 

Responsibilities



Associate PM will report to the Director of Consumer Marketing.  The primary function of this position is to assist the business manager in gathering and communicating appropriate product launch specifications and marketing materials to internal functional groups, and external customers. 

 

Job responsibilities include:

 

·  Provide raw documentation and support materials for product launches - contribute by developing relevant material for product set-up with retail & reseller partners

·  Collect, Format and Disseminate product information - ensure internal and external community has current and accurate information.

·  Develop product training materials for internal co-workers, and external retail sales personnel.

·  Ensure content is relevant and easy to understand

· Assist Product Management team with requirements delivery for hardware releases including positioning statements, use cases and functional specifications.

· Develop deep understanding of the products offered from end-user and system perspectives as well as a clear understanding of upcoming product releases

· Quarterly planning presentation materials

· Assist Product Marketing team with requirements delivery for hardware releases including positioning statements, use cases and functional specifications.

· Develop deep understanding of the products offered from end-user and system perspectives as well as a clear understanding of upcoming product releases Provide product support to all parts of the company including product management, sales, operations, web and marketing.
