The Sourcing team is responsible for managing indirect spend in North America including leading the selection of suppliers and managing the ongoing relationship with preferred suppliers. Successful Candidates: Will be highly motivated and success oriented, effective communicators, analytically strong, able to negotiate, and take initative. Responsibilities: 1. Providing analytical support to sourcing projects including * Profiling Ingram Micro internal usage and spending patterns (spend analysis, total cost of ownership analysis, business requirements and specifications discovery / documentation) * Analyzing the supply marketing (researching and identifying potential qualified suppliers, researching industry cost/price drivers, developing requests for proposals) * Analyzing supplier proposals * Implementing new supplier agreements 2. Providing project management for small sourcing initiatives including * Leading cross functional teams * Identifying critical success criteria and developing project strategies * Documenting and communicating project milestones and results * Negotiating agreement terms * Managing project timelines * Managing supplier relationships 3. Occasional transaction responsibilities * Placing purchase orders * Researching on hold invoices The Sourcing Analyst will also provide other sourcing support as requested. Requirements: Education: BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting or 4 years of related external experience or 2 years of related internal experience. Experience: 0 to 2 years business experience. Familiarity with working in a high-volume, highly dynamic rapid paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to make recommendations, gain agreement and implement solutions on behalf of a diverse organization. A basic to generally proficient level of knowledge in: Spreadsheets - Excel - writing macros, developing formulas, using functions such as pivot and lookup tables Database - MS Access - multi-table queries, report generation, macros, forms Word Processing - MS Word Familiarity with Impulse - able to navigate between various screens, knowledge of where to locate data Ability to work with immediate peers and intermediate level internal associates. A basic to moderate level of financial analysis knowledge. Basic to moderate modeling and problem solving skills. Ability to work under moderate supervision and guidance, at a stable pace.
