Adobe Flash Network Operations Engineer  Job Description:The Adobe Flash Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced level 3support for Limelight’s customers, server network and caching services as well as establishment of new customer orders. The position will generally interface with Limelight technicians and development engineers, Implementation teams and Sales teams.  Advanced knowledge of data networking, particularly experienced with caching, streaming, BGP,Microsoft,  Linux or Unix administration and/or IP networks is desired. Excellent customer service skills are a necessary component of the job. This position will involve on call support in a rotation setting.

This position will report to the Operations Director and will be responsible for the following:

·Solutions to resolve  escalations from our NOC in the Limelight production service environment based on severity in a timely manner

·Act as an escalation point to Engineering and Development

·Provide groups outside of operations refined feedback on problems that may occur in production

·Troubleshoot and help solve technical issues escalated from Level 2 Operations Technicians

·Perform 3nd level troubleshooting on all production hosts; customer configurations and network devices

·Maintain documentation of customer installation criteria and unique solutions

·Additional projects as required

Education:

·2-year degree in a networking, computer science or equivalent work experience is optimal.

·4-year technical degree preferred.

Desired Experience:

·2+years experience in an Enterprise level Network Operations Center or production support organization

·2+ years experience  with Windows, Unix, or Linux administration  in an operations or help-desk environment

·2+ years troubleshooting network elements,protocols, services, and transport layer problems

·2-5 years direct hands on experience working in a technical support role

·Strong working knowledge of firewalls, IDS, routers, switches, VLANs and Internet working protocols (BGP)

·Experience with  Apache Server, shell scripting or database design and query



Desired Qualifications:

·Knowledge of scripting languages and/or oracle database support

·Understanding of BGP, IP troubleshooting methods

·Knowledge of Microsoft, Unix or Linux administration troubleshooting methods

·Excellent written and verbal skills

·Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely fashion in a measured performance environment

·Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routers and switches

·Develop mentor production support of  websites to include Apache support

·Advanced knowledge of DNS administration

·Flash skills desired

·Excellent time management skills

Certificates/Licenses:

·Cisco Foundry FNCE desired

·Linux or Unix certification desired

·MCSE is desired
