Strategic Staffing Solutions, in Partnership with Our Premier Fortune 500 Financial Client in Columbus, Ohio are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Network Engineer – Systems Administrator

 

Role

We are looking for a Systems Administrator that can support the migration of DNS data into client systems. All of the projects that are assigned will involve QIP. So our client is seeking a Consultant that has Strong working knowledge and experience of QIP. Not just from the level that they have entered a record into QIP, but to the extent that they have performed QIP administration and know specifically how the data is stored. Responsibilities also include database mining to ensure migration proceeds without business impact. Consultant needs to have strong recent scripting experience to perform data parsing to locate conflicts, and convert one to the other. Scripting on this project is primarily around text manipulation. C, C++, Perl Shell, etc.

 

Required Skills

·  Strong understanding of record types within DNS; understand "zone files" and the syntax within DNSScripting, data parsingLucent QIPDNSDHCPActive DirectoryCustomer/Communication SkillsSybase for database experience is a big plus. The conversion does entail a migration of data between Sybase databases. However, most of the complicating factors are around DNS analysis, not on database issues.

 

This is a 6-12 month Project with potential to go much longer!!
