2nd Level Desktop Support

Omni Resources, Inc. in 1984 is dedicated to providing the highest quality information technology consulting services throughout the upper Midwest.  We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Level Desktop Supportto work with our client in Milwaukee, WI. 

 JOB DESCRIPTION:


The individuals, under the direction of the supervisor of the Customer Information Technology Services Unit and will act as 2nd level desktop technical support technicians. These additional resources are needed within the infrastructure section due to the high volume of work that is to occur in a very concentrated time frame. Project plans call for over 575 PCs to be procured, configured and deployed.

Provides expert level technical assistance in support and preparation of PC supported applications and hardware.

Requires extensive knowledge of and experience with PC technology including, but not limited to, operating systems, applications, PCs, printer support, Black Berries, other supported wireless devices and peripherals. This title receives escalated level support issues from the Helpdesk.

Has 4-7 years of experience in Desktop Support and is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The ideal candidates will have experience providing 2nd level customer technical support for workstations and experience in performing LAN administration responsibilities. Scope of experience should be similar to the client’s, which is over 3,500 workstations. Knowledge and experience using Remote Access, Microsoft tools and Windows XP is a must. CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CRIMINAL CHECK COMPLETED BEFORE THEY CAN START AT OUR CLIENT'S SITE.
