Technical Services Representative

Basic Functions:  Performs customer-related technical service to support the application of carbon fiber & OPF in downstream textile and composite manufacturing processes.  They will be a member of a Technical Service team that will carry out these responsibilities. 

 

Travel & Office Location:  Position based in Rockwood, Tennesse headquarters.  Requires both domestic and international travel for training, shows, conferences and to meet with sales personnel and customers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

                GENERAL:

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

·         Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision.

·         Must demonstrate accomplishments- Develop, define objectives and implement action work plans

 

·         Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization

·        Proficient with computer skills, specifically Microsoft office applications

·         Excellent problem solving skills

·         Have the ability to work within and lead multi-functional teams in support of various initiatives.

·         Project management skills.

·         Some composite experience is essential

 

SPECIFIC

·         BS Degree in the Science or Materials Technology Related Fields required

·         Must be able to obtain appropriate clearances to enter secured facilities

·         Multiple textile material experiences – not just a single material, project, part or process.

·         3 to 5 years textile experience working within the Composite Industry.

·         Experience in identifying potential new applications for products and support in capturing new business (E.g. assessing market trends, evaluating competitor’s materials, etc).

·         Position will interface with external and internal customers (Quality assurance, administrative, and research & development personnel within Toho Tenax Group)
