Sales Rep for Specialty Linen Rental Company

Job Purpose:

Generates specialty linen rental revenue by identifying and qualifying potential accounts; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new table linens fabrics, chair covers and napkins for events; building account relationships.


Duties:

* Builds sales opportunities by establishing a marketing presence; researching and collecting competitive information; preparing strategic sales plans; developing leads.



* Initiates sales call process by analyzing and qualifying opportunities; exploring and building account relationships; scheduling appointments with potential and existing customers including florists, event planners and designers, hotels and resorts, destination management companies, country clubs and caterers.



* Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product features and benefits; developing pricing.  Help customers decide on color, fabric and product for their event.


* Closes sales by overcoming objections; completing credit checks; preparing contracts; forwarding and tracking new contracts.



* Develops accounts by tracking and analyzing services provided; interviewing key customer personnel; identifying and evaluating additional needs; identifying and evaluating new opportunities.



* Improves service contracts by analyzing and relaying customer reactions; monitoring competition contracts; recommending new features.



* Updates job knowledge by tracking emerging trends in service contracts; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.



* Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



Skills/Qualifications:

Experience in the special events industry with existing networking base is preferred.
