Production Manager / Process Engineer

Hands on responsibilities for all production (process, output and quality)  of 60" wide coating and laminating line running with water-based chemistry using rod, gravure, knife and other coating techniques.

 

Candidate should have experience processing home furnishings fabrics, vinyl and other films, wallcovering grade papers, release liners, knits and more.  Candidate should be mechanically inclined and must posses experience in web winding and coating.  Should be confident to trouble shoot mechanical break downs, integrated drive packages and communicate problems with outside repair companies if necessary.  Knowledge of high pressure boilers (Black Seal helpful – not necessary). Knowledge of chemistry rheology helpful.  Should be comfortable modifying viscosity of adhesives and coatings to fit different applications.

 

Equipment list includes multi-head coating station, 30’ natural gas-fired arch process dryer, steam drums, cooling and nip stations, center-wind rewinds, surface winding preparation equipment and other light inspection winders.

 

Candidate will manage line operators, maintain and upgrade standard operating procedures with operators, set preventative maintenance schedules.

 

Candidate will also handle fulfillment of lab samples and some new product development work.







Candidate will liase with enviornmental consultants and maintain enviornmental records as required by various agencies.
