Product Standards and Specification Coordinator

A recognized authority and leader in the use of comfortable, modern fabrics for warm underwear, thermal underwear, camisoles and daywear located in the Northwest side of Chicago.

Our Company seeks a professional and dependable Product Standards and Specifications Coordinator to handle the following duties:Receive catalog fabric, trim standards and mill submits Conduct analysis of raw materials submits for production approval Maintain library of supplier submits and standards Follow-up to ensure all fabric and trim standards are on file and all subsequent submits are being received on a timely basis. Distribute fabric and trim standards to cutting locations Keep mills, suppliers and factories up to date with Company sample submission requirements Use basic laboratory equipment to determine weight, stretch, hand and color of submits Assist Operations team with day-to-day interdisciplinary interactions derived from managing the PP and TOP samples' standards and specifications. Police and track Import 'WIP' (work in progress reports) to ensure on time deliveries. Coordinate customer fabric/garment testing at appointed facility Send shipping alerts to garment suppliers Assist with front desk lunch relief when necessary



Requirements
Bachelors Degree in relevant field preferred A minimum of two years of apparel industry related experience General office administrative experience Advance knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; AS400 knowledge a plus! Must be able to follow verbal and written work instructions Able to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines Highly organized with attention to detail, good eye for fabrics and color Good analytical and problem solving skills Able to interact with all levels of Management, suppliers and all employees Ability to work independently and use good judgment when making decisions Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
