The following exciting opportunity is located at our Global Headquarters in Los Angeles, California.As the Payroll Director you will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of our Payroll team within a high volume, high profile, and multi-state payroll environment.  You will support the Executive Officers with strategic planning, while you manage the mission critical daily functions of this team. You will be responsible for performing and auditing bi-weekly payroll for up to 9,000 employees and handling an array of responsibilities.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Provide executive level leadership for our mission-critical payroll departmentCompile payroll reports, maintain records / control and transmit payrollGenerate multiple payroll reports for managementAnalyzing various audit reports for the pay period to assure accuracyEnsure that payroll processing, timekeeping and data entry are performed to company standardsUpdate sick/vacation balances; calculate emissions, set up garnishmentsResearch paycheck discrepanciesInterface with accounting to insure correct postings to general ledger


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE: 6 + years experience with payroll and payroll tax within a multi-state/site environmentAdvanced working knowledge of timekeeping systems; preferably JantekPrior management experience with ability to streamline and manage workflowStrong Microsoft Excel, systems and database/query skillsAbility to work with various levels of personnelWell versed in wage and hour lawsExcellent analytical/problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasksAbility to work well under pressureAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with experience importing/exporting data and developing reportsBachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
