IT Manager - Developer

Queensboro is seeking an experienced, energetic, IT professional to join a fast growing direct marketing company with a 25 year history of innovation and success.

Job Description:

•        Develop custom web application in PHP and MYSQL as part of a 3 part development team, consisting of marketing, design and IT.

•        Collaborate with various department managers to write and review functional specifications for continuous improvement and enhancement.

•        Apply systems analysis skills to troubleshoot and define technical requirements for future development

•        Manage both internal and third party technical resources.

•        Manage your team’s tasks to meet deadlines and define process improvements.

 

Qualifications:

•        Web development in PHP 4.x and 5.x

•        JavaScript and jQuery

•        FreeBSD 6.1 and 6.3

•        network protocols (TCP-IP, samba, NFS)

•        windows network configuration

•        Linux server administration

•        *NIX scripting (sh, bash, etc..)

•        *NIX network configuration

•        *NIX like permissions

•        router + switches configuration (network configuration)

•        windows XP home/pro

•        Experience developing in a team environment

•        Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize based on resources available and long term benefit of application.

•        Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
