Job Description

Responsibilities will include assistance in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, internal reporting and variance analysis.  As such, there will be frequent interaction with department heads, division CFO’s, segment CFO’s, division Presidents, segment Presidents, the external reporting and accounting departments and executive management.

 

Essential Job FunctionsReport, analyze and interpret financial data based on information collected from financial systems, corporate department heads and division CFO’sPrepare and analyze the monthly forecast for the corporate departments, including variances from last forecast, budget and prior yearAssist in the consolidation and analysis of the strategic plan, annual budget and monthly forecast for the operating divisionsAssist in the preparation of various presentations to management and the board Assist in the internal reporting of segment, division, region and brand resultsDevelop budget/forecast/prior year comparisons reportsCommunicate financial results to managementPrepare and issue a daily report from a data warehouse of current month orders and shipments for each divisionPrepare and issue a weekly report from a data warehouse of monthly orders for each division, including automation initiatives Prepare and analyze the strategic plan, annual budget and monthly forecast for the balance sheet, cash flow, working capital components and related metrics and other key ratiosPrepare and issue monthly reports of Receivables and Inventory by quarter vs. revenue, Inventory Rollfoward, and Receivables and Inventory Aging vs. Reserves Prepare and issue a monthly report of forecast accuracy by divisionParticipate in balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, forecast accuracy, growth, systems, finance and cost reduction projects
