Distribution Shipping Supervisor

Nixon, Inc. is searching for a Distribution Shipping Supervisor. The shipping supervisor is responsible for the daily order fulfillment and shipping operations in our USA Distribution Center in Carlsbad, CA. This position overseas the day-to-day functionality of the shipping department within the DC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer’s orders, maximizing the performance of the DC staff and system to ensure care, custody and control of Nixon’s premium products.

 

 

Responsibilities:

-Daily Supervision of up to 8 personal on the DC floor.

-Optimize flow of goods out of the facility.

-Monitor floor activity and provide a visible presence ensuring security and safety within the facility.

-Partnering with the Inventory Control Coordinator, to maintain inventory accuracy and seasonal stock rotation and direct cycle counting.

-Partner with Receiving Manager to ensure timely receipt, put-away and replenishment of incoming product for order fulfillment.

-With the Inventory Control coordinator plan and conduct the annual fiscal inventory in an accurate and timely manner.

-Ensure high demand customers’ requirements and expectations are met continually.

-In coordination with the Distribution Manager, implement measurement tools and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operating efficiency, continuous quality improvement where possible.

-Coordinate with operations, marketing and sales departments on special requests.

-Facilitate the fulfillment of International orders by working with the Operations department and selected freight forwarders.

-Perform other work related duties as assigned by Distribution Manager and Director of Operations.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

-A four-year degree in a related field is a plus

-2 to 3 years experience in warehouse/order fulfillment operations

-Successful experience managing product flow and order fulfillment in a seasonal fashion/apparel focused, distribution operation of 4,000 plus sku’s/50,000 units per month

-Experience working in a computerized warehouse environment preferred (WMS)

-Prior experience working with Microsoft Navision is a plus

-Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel

-Understanding of International Shipping Regulations and required documentation

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations

-Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills are essential-Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills-Ability to motivate your team and manage conflict within the group -Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet required standards of service -Ability to rapidly adjust to changing priorities based on business needs -Solid documentation and reporting skills
