Corporate Counsel (Part-time)
Standard Textile Co. Inc. is recognized as the global leader in the manufacturing of healthcare, hospitality, & institutional textiles, apparel, surgical, incontinence care, decorative products & linen management services. We are currently seeking a Corporate Counsel (Part-time) to be based in Cincinnati, OH.
Job Description
The Corporate Counsel will be assisting the General Counsel in providing legal support on all legal affairs of the Company, including contracts, acquisitions, employment, intellectual property and corporate governance matters.
Major responsibilities
· Drafting contracts and other legal documents.
· Supporting company business objectives by providing legal support to all business units.
· Advising and counseling all business units on a wide range of legal issues.
· Researching legal issues as necessary.
· Supervising outside counsel as necessary.
· Helping implement legal department programs.
Requirements
· Undergraduate degree plus J.D. from an accredited law school
· Admitted to Ohio Bar
· Excellent academic credentials
· At least 5 years experience with a major law firm or an in-house corporate legal department.
· Must have significant experience drafting contracts and other documents and communicating with clients.
· Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and on-line legal research
· Some travel may be required.
