DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPT POSITION

 

 POSITION:  CREATIVE SVCS MGR / GRAPHIC DESIGNER

 

DEPARTMENT:  MARKETING

 

REPORTS TO:  DIRECTOR, MARKETING

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Designs, lays out and implements collateral/promotional/presentation/advertising materials.

· Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.

· Prepares administrative month-end reports, project coding and scheduling.

· Prepares cost comparisons, bidding and negotiations for all print production projects.

· Performs other duties as required or directed.

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· Bachelor’s degree with specific technical training in Graphic Design.

· 3 - 5 years handling all aspects of design from concept through delivery of goods.

· Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail and deadlines a must.

· Good communication skills, a hard work ethic, sense of humor, and a desire to produce great results.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.

· Required proficiency in graphic programs on a MAC platform, specifically programs running MAC OSX, Quark V.6, Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Adobe Acrobat CS3.

· Familiarity required with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

· Familiarity with Web applications Adobe Go Live/Dreamweaver and Macromedia Flash.

· Additional programs specific to our network, including Internet Browser Software

· E-mail Program Software, Server Software and Printer Software.
