Serta Mattress Company, a leading manufacturer of bedding products with a commitment to quality and service has an immediate opening for an experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Manager our Serta-Moreno Valley

manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Local Management, this role provides effective human resources management and leadership skills in the office and on the production floor.

Manages the entire hiring process cycle to ensure compliance with all applicable law and company policies and procedures. Gives authority, direction, execution, and evaluation to ensure consistent application of company programs as it applies to recruitment, selection, employee relations, retention, training & career development, performance management, employment practices, communications on company/plant/hr changes to all levels of associates, disciplinary, terminations, benefits administration, open enrollment and confidentiality. This position has a heavy emphasis on recruiting from traditional/nontraditional sources to ensure that staffing goals are met in a timely and consistent manner. Heavily focused in areas of non-exempt production sourcing and recruitment, coordinates Job Fairs and attends local recruiting events, builds/maintains relationships/affiliations with local recruiting sources and workforce development office. Accountable for all onboarding functions as it relates to: sourcing, screening, pre-employment drug testing, interviewing, offer letters, correspondences, background screening, facilitating employee & benefit orientations, and hr metric reporting. Work with Plant Management Team to forecast and analyze workforce planning data to meet staffing goals and provide feedback to Group office. 

Requires: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or in a related area (or equivalent college course work with progressively responsible related experience); 5+ years experience in the Human Resources field in a manager/supervisory role strongly preferably in a manufacturing environment; experience in recruiting/staffing and ability to source and recruit quality candidates, ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision making with ability to maintain strict confidentiality is a mandatory requirement; strong proactive and effective communication skills to work with all levels of staff and management (written/verbal/phone/email), listening, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills; solid computer skills in Microsoft Office products with intermediate to advanced Excel & intermediate Word; familiarity with federal/state employment laws; attention-to-detail, effective follow-up and time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects and work proficiently in a fast paced environment who is a team player with the ability to work well independently.  Familiarity with payroll/ADP preferred; bilingual English/Spanish required! PHR/SPHR preferred! Valid driver’s license w/clean driving record req’d for occasional travel on a local basis for job fairs.
