JOE, MY LITTLE PONY, LITTLEST PET SHOP, MONOPOLY and PLAYSKOOL, beyond the toy and game aisle, creating rich lifestyle experiences. Entertainment and Licensing is actively seeking an Associate Licensing Manager for the Soft Goods team. As an Associate Licensing Manager, you will assist in developing and managing relationships with apparel and accessory licensees utilizing Hasbro-owned trademarks and brands to generate revenue and expand brand awareness.  You will focus on merchandise planning and product development for assigned categories. This position reports to the Licensing Manager of Entertainment & Licensing-Soft Goods, and is based in our Narragansett Park Drive offices in East Providence, RI. Key Responsibilities  ·         Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with licensees in the designated categories. May manage smaller accounts directly. ·         Assist in achieving budgeted sales revenue and royalty advances through management of designated Soft Goods licensees. ·        Compile and analyze current and relevant knowledge of assigned categories with regard to competitive properties, retailer initiatives, strategic objectives, and market trends.·        Assist in daily activities for managing licensees/accounts for assigned categories with a focus on merchandise planning and product development. ·        Assist in development and execution of ‘go-to-market’ strategies for assigned categories.·         Support financial management of assigned categories including annual budget planning and forecasting; conducting regular financial planning reviews with licensees.·         Maintain awareness of all key brand information as it relates to assigned categories and communicate to licensed partners through frequent written, oral and on-site communications based on direction from Manager·         Under direction from Manager, maintain an active reporting procedure to ensure internal partners (eg Entertainment and Licensing, Brand Liaisons, and Promotions) are aware of product placement, sell-through rates, and potential market opportunities. ·         Manage the product development approval process with internal and external partners to ensure achievement of deadlines for assigned categories.·         Under direction from Manager, ensure execution of all contractual obligations, product & packaging development, awareness of all brand information and development, ongoing support and direction to licensee through frequent written, oral and on-site communication. ·         Keep current with industry trends and developments through networking, attending trade shows and industry functions.  Education, knowledge and experience required ·         Associates degree and 5 – 8 years in licensing, marketing or sales; Or Bachelors degree and 1 – 2 years licensing, marketing or sales experience ·         Experience in brand management, licensing industry or consumer goods preferred·         Experience working with creative staff to develop new product ideas·         Fashion/apparel industry knowledge helpful   Skills required ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills·         Strong organizational skills, and detail oriented·         Proven ability to be a creative and strategic thinker is a plus·         Negotiation skills helpful·         Presentation skills ·         Ability to influence and facilitate agreement between internal and external business partners is ideal·         Team player and the ability to work closely with creative staff, brand liaisons, approval coordinators ·         Ability to work on a flexible basis to manage demands of Soft Goods partners and fast-paced business environment   ·         Computer Literate (MS Office) Some travel is required.   Send job to a friend  |  View similar jobs  |  More about Hasbro
