Technology Program Leader - Oil & Gas and Industrial

Position Overview:
The Technical Program Leader will have global program responsibility for Oil & Gas (demulsifiers and antifoams) and Industrial (pulp,polymer additives, mould release) market applications of organofunctional siloxane materials. This person will report to one of the Silicone Fluids - Global Program Managers and be a part of the larger Global Silicones Fluids team.The primary responsibility for this candidate will be driving the development and commercialization of new products. They will accomplish this by developing an innovative technical strategy that is aligned with the businesses market focus and growth objectives.The primary focus of this person's team will be the development of robust platform technologies and the NPI derivatives of thesefor specific customers and regions. Some application development support is also involved on an as needed bases.The candidate should also have the necessary product dedvelopment experience and people skills to influence marketing, process development, engineering and manufacturing leadership throughout the development cycle.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
* Strategic and tactical planning to develop the program portfolio and execute on existing programs. Ensure alignment of global resources with program activities ** staffing, skills, regional support, investment, etc.
* Support the technical team through training, coaching and mentoring. Foster an environment of technical innovation whileexecuting on projects to deliver commercial results.
* Review relevant legal and regulatory activities to protect intellectual property and ensure products are compliant and safe to use.
* Through effective communication and presentations, provide technical support to customers during new product validation and to the sales team as new products are commercialized.
* Facilitate the translation of key technologies globally to serve both new and existing market segments.

Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Materials Science.
* 5 to 10 years technical experience in new product, process or applications development.
* Experience in Oil and Gas industry - preferred

Required Work Experience:
* Demonstrated ability to develop new polymeric materials in accordance with established performance criteria.

Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong influencing skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Demonstrated effectiveness in presentations to senior leadership.
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion and interact effectively in cross-functional and global teams with strongcustomer focus.
* Proven ability to take programs from inception to successful commercialization.
* Successful candidate must possess high energy with the ability to handle diverse responsibilities, to prioritize and handlemultiple projects simultaneously with emphasis on quality and speed.
* Proficient in basic statistics and Design of Experiment (DOE)

* Demonstrated skills in synthetic organic and/or polymer chemistry.
* Experience with surfactant systems, emulsions and interfacial science.
