Technical Sales Representative - Rutherford, NJ

Nalco has an opening for a Technical Sales Representative in our WaterServ Sales Group located in Rutherford, NJ.  The Technical Sales Representative will primarily be responsible for selling and servicing the company's products in the Rutherford, NJ area.    Other Responsibilities include: "Generate new sales opportunities" Make cold calls and develop new business opportunities within an existing territory This position's focus will be in all markets including institutional, food and beverage and industrial This position has a strong base salary with a commission plan and a company vehicle Our technical sales representatives work as on-site experts to improve the customer's boiler, cooling tower and wastewater treatment programs through our chemical treatment and consultative services In addition to growing business, responsibilities include working with facility engineers to improve the efficiency of the customer plant operationsThe minimum qualifications the candidate will have include:   A valid driver's license and good driving record is required Criminal background and motor vehicle checks are conducted on all candidates for field positions  The desired candidate will have professional experience to include:The desired candidate must have a four-year technical degree Excellent oral and written communications skills Outgoing personality, interest in being a team player, and a desire to "sell" Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in an industrial sales environment Residence location is flexible within the greater metro region of Rutherford, NJNalco is the leading provider of integrated water treatment and process improvement services, chemicals and equipment programs for industrial and institutional applications.  We currently serve more than 70,000 customer locations representing a broad range of end markets.
