TECHNICAL SERVICE/SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are a privately owned and operated coatings manufacturer in Louisville Kentucky.  We custom formulate and manufacture industrial coatings for the OEM market.

 

We are seeking a representative to cover Kentucky, Tennessee and Southern Indiana.  The ideal candidate will have experience in Technical Service and either Sales experience or the qualities and necessary capabilities to move into a sales capacity immediately.

 

Candidate Qualities:

                Self- motivation, positive attitude and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

5-10 years of experience successfully servicing the OEM market / production line coatings.

A broad knowledge of industrial coatings for general metal-OEM applications: Water Reducible, High Solids, UV Cure, Coil and Powder Coatings.

A broad knowledge of application equipment and trouble shooting: spray, dip, flow coat, vacuum coat, coil as well as a fundamental understanding of powder coat applications.

Ability to work with all levels of personnel in the field from executive level to line operators.

                Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Power Point, Word, Excel and CRM 3.0.

The desire and capability to grow new business within the territory.

 

Responsibilities:

                Work with existing business in terms of sales and service needs.

Develop new business.

Work closely with the R&D department.

Assist the Technical Service department on initial customer line surveys, trial runs and scale up implementation.

Build and maintain relationships with all necessary contacts within a customer’s organization.

Provide accurate forecasting, budgeting on a regular basis.
